The most important step down feature in this LCD compared with the premium 42XV545 is the 60Hz processing compared with 120Hz processing speed in the XV545 series. Other than that the new SRT and Auto View features are present. "SRT (Super Resolution Technologies) will be a tough feature to pull off effectively," states Robert Wiley. "Upconversion from lower signals to high definition can introduce motion artifacts and other problems if not done well - and it's extremely difficult to do well. It will be an interesting test."
