Introducing the Toshiba 42HL196: this exciting new 1080p LCD TV from Toshiba uses Toshiba's new 12-bit digital video processing technology called PixelPure Hi-Bit, and a proprietary Toshiba-sourced CineSpeed LCD panel to deliver smoother, sharper images than ever before available in an LCD television—all in 1080p HDTV resolution! The 12-bit video processor offers 4,096 levels of gradation, capable of reproducing over 68 Billion shades of color, resulting in smoother images and reduced color banding in images. The Toshiba CineSpeed panel boasts an 8ms response speed, 33 percent faster than other panels, resulting in fewer motion artifacts. The new Toshiba LCDs also offers a 176-degree viewing angle, pitting LCD specs closer to their plasma counterparts.
