The Toshiba 32HLV66 HDTV LCD TV uses Toshiba's new 12-bit digital video processing technology called PixelPure Hi-Bit, and a proprietary Toshiba-sourced CineSpeed LCD panel to deliver smoother, sharper images than ever before available in an LCD television. The 12-bit video processor offers 4,096 levels of gradation, capable of reproducing over 68 Billion shades of color, resulting in smoother images and reduced color banding in images. The Toshiba CineSpeed panel boasts an 8ms response speed, 33 percent faster than other panels, resulting in fewer motion artifacts. An integrated progressive-scan DVD player is the ultimate in convenience: just slip your DVD disc in the slot on the TV, and watch! The new Toshiba LCDs also offers a 176-degree viewing angle, pitting LCD specs closer to their plasma counterparts. With built-in stereo speakers, table stand, and HDMI and PC inputs, the Toshiba 32HLV66 is a complete home entertainment package.

Toshiba LCD Display Technology
REGZA Premium LCD Hi Speed Cinespeed Panel
Toshiba LCDs include new panels that offer response times that are among the best in the industry (8ms or less) giving you the response for the most demanding home theater enthusiast.Hi-Speed PixelPure Hi-Bit Digital Video Processing
Using 12-bit picture processing, can create 4,096 steps of gradation (steps between the whitest white, to the blackest black), and will also incorporate improvements in areas such as: real speed progressive scanning, video noise reduction, sharpness, and gamma control to set a new standard for picture quality.Cinema Mode 3:2 Pulldown
Cinema Mode virtually eliminates the possibility of errors or artifacts that can be caused by the process of transferring film to video. The Cinema Mode circuitry identifies original film-based content from DVDs. The 3:2 pulldown process is a method to map the 24 frames per second that are captured during film production onto the 30 frames per second of a 525 line TV system. If film-based content is sensed by the circuitry, it reassembles the frame sequence to more accurately reproduce the original 24 frame film-based material.Color Temperature Control
Most Toshiba televisions provide three user-selectable Color Temperature settings affect the sets overall white balance. The "Warm" setting reduces the color temperature to an NTSC standard 6500 degrees Kelvin and delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room. "Medium" and "Cool" provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.Dynamic Contrast
Included on all Toshiba HDTV Compatible models, this feature continually analyzes picture information and enhances those parts of the picture with the most detail information.Convenience Features
Built-in DVD Player
For the ultimate in convenience, this has eliminated the clutter and confusion of a separate DVD player. Just simply slip a movie into the slot-loaded player, and the TV does the rest; switching inputs, and starts playing.THINC RJ-45 Home Network Capability
Allows access, through an existing home network, to a library of JPEG and MP3 files using only the TV’s remote control, even through a connected home theater.Tri-Lingual On-screen Display
Allows viewers to read menu selections in three different languages (English, French, and Spanish) to ensure user-friendly programming.Individual A/V Settings by Input Type
For optimum display of each type of input source, Individual AV Settings by Input allow the viewer to make video adjustments for each type of input, such as RF, Composite, S-Video, and each ColorStream® Component Video Input.Sleep Timer
Allows the viewer to set the television to shut off after a preset amount of time.Channel Labeling
Channel Labeling allows you to put the Call Letters (e.g., ABC, HBO, etc.) on the screen along with the station numbers, so you always know what channel you're watching.Movie and Sports Modes
Movie Mode changes the basic picture setup conditions to create a more theater-like picture. User-selectable settings such as brightness, contrast, color and color temperature are automatically adjusted. In addition, some normally non-user adjustable settings, such as Velocity Scan Modulation, are also adjusted. Sports Mode automatically adjusts appropriate picture levels to produce enhanced color, detail and brightness.ATSC/NTSC/QAM Tuner
Allows tuning of off-air, and unscrambled HD cable channels for increased flexibility.4-Item Glow Universal Remote
This universal remote will operate many of your home theater components and, includes glow keys for ease of operation at night.Audio System Features
MTS Stereo/SAP with dbx
An MTS (Multi-channel Television Sound) decoder enables the television to accept and decode a broadcast stereo signal. Unlike some systems that delete dbx, MTS provides the full quality of the original stereo broadcast. SAP (Secondary Audio Program) enables the reception of bilingual broadcasts, when available.StableSound
This feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal, eliminating the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels.SRS WOW
SRS WOW technology greatly improves the performance of the TV’s sound system. SRS WOW, TruBass, and FOCUS combine to create a three-dimensional sound stage, dramatically improve bass response, and better direct the sound toward the TV watcher, to deliver a superior sound quality compared to a standard TV sound system.Terminals and Connections
HDMI: High-Definition Multimedia Interface
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video connection. HDMI provides the best interface between a DVD player and compatible products, such as a digital television (DTV). When matched with a compatible TV, this single interconnecting cable combines: Multi-channel audio, uncompressed digital video, intercommunication between devices and simple control Protocols. This single cable connection ensures that all signals remain in their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution.
