Samsung's new line of LCD TVs features SmartLighting™ technology, which delivers an amazing 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio along with ultra-sharp blacks. SmartLighting utilizes an LED backlight to reproduce 92% of broadcast TV’s color range, as opposed to the normal 72% reproduced by standard fluorescent LCD backlights. The LED backlight also provides more natural color representation.
